the safe and timely transfer of green methanol, completing a process that began with domestic production and ended with successful at-sea delivery.<\/p><div class=\"code-block code-block-9\"><div id=\"ad-slot-122\" class=\"googleAds ad-rendered\" data-index=\"122\" data-adtype=\"inread2\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><p>This marks the realisation of a closed-loop supply chain encompassing methanol production, storage, transportation, and bunkering entirely within China.<\/p><p>It also reflects the maturing infrastructure that allows Shanghai Port to provide regular green methanol fuelling services.<\/p><div class=\"code-block code-block-10\"><div id=\"ad-slot-123\" class=\"googleAds ad-rendered\" data-index=\"123\" data-adtype=\"inread3\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><p>Since Shanghai completed its first batch of bunkering of green methanol in March 2025, stakeholders across the port ecosystem have worked together to normalise operations.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Green shipping future<\/h2><p>Yangshan Port\u2019s dedicated methanol storage tank facility provides the scale needed to support the growing demand for green fuel.<\/p><div class=\"code-block code-block-11\"><div id=\"ad-slot-124\" class=\"googleAds ad-rendered\" data-index=\"124\" data-adtype=\"inread4\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><p>Its capacity and efficiency make it a strategic asset in helping international shipping companies meet sustainability goals.<\/p><p>Government support has also played a vital role. Border inspection and regulatory agencies have collaborated closely with energy firms to streamline formalities and enhance overall operational efficiency.<\/p><div class=\"code-block code-block-12\"><div id=\"ad-slot-125\" class=\"googleAds ad-rendered\" data-index=\"125\" data-adtype=\"inread5\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><p>The breakthrough comes at a time when Shanghai continues to climb the ranks of top international shipping centres.
